2PM’s Lee Junho celebrated winning a major double crown at ASEA 2026 and performing for 85,000 fans at the Tokyo Dome.
The highly talented superstar Lee Junho is proving his incredible versatility in the entertainment world as he successfully manages major acting awards, record-breaking stadium concerts, and a fresh start with a brand-new agency. In an exclusive interview featured in star1 magazine, the popular 2PM member opened up about his incredibly busy daily schedule, his dramatic physical transformation for his next big streaming project, and the deep emotions he felt during his group's recent historic reunion.

A Historic Double Victory at the 2026 Asia Star Entertainer Awards
"This was my very first time attending the Asia Star Entertainer Awards, so being honored with such significant awards was an absolute privilege for me. Moving forward in my career, I will continuously work hard so that I can greet everyone frequently through amazing acting projects and spectacular live stages."

An Emotional Return to the Tokyo Dome After Ten Years
As a singer, celebrating the major milestone of 2PM’s 15th anniversary since their official Japanese debut held incredibly deep emotional weight for the star. This past May, the legendary K-pop group successfully wrapped up their highly anticipated reunion concert, titled "THE RETURN," at the massive Tokyo Dome by performing in front of a staggering crowd of 85,000 loyal fans. The spectacular show marked their very first full-group concert in two years and seven months, as well as their historic return to the famous Tokyo Dome stage after a full decade away.
Junho described the stadium experience as completely overwhelming, noting that the exact second he stepped onto the stage, an intense feeling of gratitude and joy rushed over him at the same time. He stated that he could deeply feel how patiently the audience had waited to see all six members perform together again, which kept him constantly reminding himself of how precious every single second on that stage truly was. He finished his thoughts by sending a special message to his domestic supporters, promising that the group is currently pouring all their energy into preparing for a massive Korean comeback concert scheduled for August 2026.

Transforming Into a Cold Rich Heir for Netflix's 'Viking'
Turning to his thriving acting career, Lee Junho is currently gearing up to showcase a completely different side of himself through the highly anticipated upcoming Netflix original series, Viking. He takes on the complex role of Han Ji-yeol, a cold-hearted and highly rational business strategist who happens to be a third-generation tycoon heir.
To separate this new role from his wildly successful character Gu Won in the hit romantic comedy King the Land, Junho has gone to great lengths by undergoing a strict physical routine:
The Character Shift: Junho explained that while both of these characters are wealthy tycoons, Han Ji-yeol possesses a much more dry, calculating, and incredibly icy personality. To naturally reflect that external coldness on screen, he intentionally lost a significant amount of weight to make his facial features look much sharper.
Working with Ju Ji-hoon: Viking also features an exciting on-screen partnership with veteran actor Ju Ji-hoon. Junho highly praised his veteran co-star, stating that Ju Ji-hoon’s natural concentration and on-set energy are absolutely incredible, while adding that their acting chemistry has been smooth and fun since their very first day of filming.
Embracing New Responsibilities Beyond JYP Entertainment
This exciting new chapter in his career follows a major business transition for the star. After spending a historic 17 years under his debut agency, JYP Entertainment, Lee Junho officially parted ways with the label to sign an exclusive contract with a new company called O3 Collective.
Addressing this major agency change, Junho honestly shared that he currently feels a completely different level of professional responsibility resting on his shoulders. He explained that he still considers himself to be in a learning phase, but he is genuinely enjoying experimenting with new perspectives and gathering fresh experiences alongside his new team. When asked if his relentless work schedule ever becomes too exhausting to handle, the star smiled and explained that moving quickly through back-to-back projects does not drain his energy; instead, the constant shifting between music and acting serves as his ultimate source of daily motivation.
