이는 스타벅스에서 바리스타에게 직접 제조를 부탁해 마실 수 있는 특정 음료를 부르는 말이다. 일반적으로 샷을 추가한 그린티 프라푸치노에 자바칩을 갈아 넣고 휘핑크림과 시럽 초코드리즐을 올린 벤티 사이즈 음료를 말한다. 900kcal가 넘는 고칼로리와 한번 먹어보면 헤어나올 수 없는 매력 때문에 '악마'라는 말이 붙었다고 전해진다.

그런데 이를 훌쩍 뛰어넘는 '악마'가 등장했다.


호주 캔버라의 작은 카페 파티셰즈(Pâtissez)에서 파는 밀크셰이크가 SNS에서 인기몰이 중이다. 파티셰즈는 4가지 셰이크를 내놨다. 각 9.5달러(약 8000원)에 팔린다.

Alright boys & girls a few notes before yet another loony weekend! Our shakes are definitely becoming worthy of their title! Finally...every element that goes in to each shake is house made (with exception to Mr. Nutella Pretzel) so there is a limit to how much we have each day & with how mad people are for them we sell out of most by the afternoon. '악마의 잼' 누텔라가 듬뿍 들어가고 프렛젤이 군데군데 박힌 음료, 브라우니 한 덩어리가 얹혀있는 음료 등 보기만 해도 군침이 흐르다 못해 느끼하기까지 한 사진들이 인터넷에 올라오고 있다.

카페 공동창업자 안나 페트리디스(Anna Petridis)는 호주 캔버라타임즈와의 인터뷰에서 "나는 정말 굉장하고, 한편으로는 말도 안되는 셰이크를 만들고 싶었다. 어떻게 말하면, 사람들이 먹기 전 사진을 찍고 싶게 만드는 그런 셰이크 말이다"라고 밝혔다.

개업한 지 7주 정도 밖에 안 된 이 가게는 최근 호주 방송 채널7 '마이 키친 룰(My Kitchen Rules)'에도 소개됐다.

안나는 채널7과의 인터뷰에서 "우리는 음식 산업에 거대한 꿈이 있다"면서 "레스토랑뿐만 아니라, 우리는 하나의 제국을 건설할 거다"라고 말했다.

I literally found out about this little cafe yesterday when it popped up on my Facebook newsfeed and today we decided to see what all the hype is about.
