The series 'Perfect Crown' is part of a Korean content showcase connected to the 9th Cannes International Series Festival, also known as Canneseries, held in Cannes, France. The event is designed to help Korean broadcast projects meet international broadcasters, production companies, investors, and distributors.
‘Perfect Crown’ Joins Korea’s Cannes Roadshow
Among the dramas selected for the K-drama investment roadshow is ‘Perfect Crown’ from Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation. It will be presented alongside ‘Filing for Love’ from CJ ENM, ‘Bloody Flower’ from EO Contents Group, and ‘Kokdu’ from Movie Makers 36st.
The roadshow is not just a promotional event. It reflects a bigger shift in the Korean drama industry, where new projects are being introduced to global partners earlier and more strategically.
Instead of depending only on finished dramas after release, Korean studios are now building international interest before a show fully reaches audiences.

Why Cannes Matters for New K-Dramas
Canneseries is one of the key global events for TV series and serialized storytelling. For Korean creators, appearing at the festival means gaining access to decision-makers who can influence overseas distribution, investment, and future collaborations.
That makes the presence of ‘Perfect Crown’ especially important. The drama’s inclusion suggests that Korean broadcasters are treating K-dramas not only as entertainment, but as global intellectual property with long-term business value.
Alongside the investment roadshow, three Korean dramas will also be screened through the non-competition Rendez-vous section: ‘The Sacred Jewel,’ ‘All The Things You Are,’ and ‘Genfluencer.’ Cast members including Ahn Bo-hyun, Claudia Kim, Cha Ni, Bae Yoon-kyoung, and Moon Ji-in are expected to support the screenings through stage greetings and media events.
Their appearances add star power to the showcase and give international audiences a more direct connection to the projects.

The Bigger Picture for K-Content
The Cannes showcase shows how far K-dramas have moved beyond traditional exports. Korean stories are now being positioned as premium global content from the earliest stages of development.
For Korean drama makers, Cannes is no longer just a stage.
It is becoming a gateway.
