Suzy, Park Bo-gum, and More—Multiple Celebrities Affected.
Actress Lee Seung-yeon has issued a warning about social media impersonation scams.

On February 23, Lee took to Instagram to alert her followers, posting a screenshot of a fake account mimicking hers, with only a slight variation in the username. "Someone just reported this to me," she wrote, adding, "Another fake account is gathering people into group chats. I’ve reported it, so please be careful. If you receive an invite DM, I’d appreciate it if you could also report it."
Cases of fake SNS accounts impersonating celebrities are increasing rapidly, raising serious concerns about potential scams that specifically target devoted fans.

Lee Seung-yeon is not the only star affected by this issue. Many celebrities have spoken out about impostors misusing their names and images.

In 2024, singer and actress Suzy revealed that a fraudulent account pretending to be her had attempted to contact fans with investment-related messages. She firmly warned, "I never ask for financial transactions," urging her followers to stay vigilant.
Similarly, actor Park Bo-gum was also a victim of impersonation. A fake account using his name approached fans, requesting personal information. In response, his agency released an official statement clarifying that Park Bo-gum does not personally approach fans on social media accounts and warned fans to avoid falling victim to scams.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung-yeon made her acting debut in the 1992 drama Our Heaven and has since starred in various hit series, including General Hospital and Dangerous Love. In the 2000s, she expanded her career into hosting and variety shows while continuing her work as an actress. Today, she remains active in the entertainment industry.
