Rosé of BLACKPINK has made history on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her single APT., a collaboration with American pop superstar Bruno Mars. The song, released on October 18 last year, secured the No. 5 spot on the chart, according to Billboard’s preview article released on January 13.
Maintaining the same position as last week, APT. marks the highest ranking ever achieved by a female K-pop artist on the Hot 100. With this milestone, Rosé becomes the first female K-pop artist to break into the chart's Top 5.
Previously, only BTS, its members Jimin and Jungkook, and Psy had reached the Hot 100’s Top 5 among K-pop artists, with BTS holding the distinction of topping the chart multiple times.
APT. has remained on the Hot 100 for an impressive 12 consecutive weeks, showcasing its enduring popularity.
The track continues its global dominance as well, reigning atop both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts for an 11th consecutive week. This places APT. alongside Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You (19 weeks), Harry Styles’ As It Was (15 weeks), and Miley Cyrus’ Flowers (13 weeks) as one of the longest-running No. 1 songs on the global charts.
Bruno Mars, Rosé’s collaborator, also holds the No. 1 spot on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 with his duet with Lady Gaga, Die with a Smile, solidifying his status as a chart powerhouse with multiple hits.
In the UK, APT. climbed to No. 2 on the Official Charts, breaking the record for the highest position achieved by a female K-pop solo artist.
