On January 13, Dex posted a video titled "Thank You for Waiting (sub)" on his channel, marking his return after a month-long break. Announcing his plans for 2025, Dex shared his intent to focus on his YouTube channel while keeping his schedule manageable.

Reflecting on his recent travels, Dex noted, “While creating 2024 content, I visited India and Japan, but I couldn’t feel the essence of traveling abroad because there were so many Koreans everywhere. Even New Zealand’s capital felt just like Itaewon or Apgujeong—terrible.” However, he praised Queenstown for its unspoiled nature and vowed to seek out more hidden gems for personal exploration.

Dex also teased dynamic new challenges for the year, revealing plans to take up horseback riding and shooting, aiming to compete in amateur shooting tournaments. “I need that dopamine boost from adrenaline-packed activities,” he said.

Regarding the rental fraud case, Dex shared, “It’s been a year and a half, and there’s still no resolution. The process is ongoing.” He added, “I expected a quicker resolution as a victim of this scam, but it’s still tied up in lengthy procedures. I’ll soon be addressing this issue with my lawyer.”

Previously, Dex opened up about his experience in a YouTube video on his channel Dex 101, where he detailed the fraudulent circumstances. “I took out a rental guarantee with HUG (Housing and Urban Guarantee), but when the landlord changed, problems arose,” he explained.

Dex recounted how the situation escalated, including a dispute over repair costs when a water leak occurred. “The new landlord told me to cover the repairs first and claim the cost later. It cost ₩1 million, but the landlord vanished after that.” He later discovered that the landlord had been a “gap investor” and was only using the property under a borrowed name.

In lighter news, Dex resumes his role as MC for Single’s Inferno Season 4. The first four episodes of the season are set to premiere globally today (January 14) at 5 p.m. KST on Netflix.
