Actor Lee Min-ho has opened up about his ideal type and dating preferences. On January 6, he appeared on the YouTube channel “Jjanhyung Shin Dong-yeop” alongside co-star Gong Hyo-jin to promote their tvN drama 'When The Stars Gossip.'
During the interview, Shin Dong-yeop asked Lee Min-ho, "What kind of woman would you like to meet?" Lee candidly responded, "These days, I’m drawn to someone who’s 'natural'—a person who is just authentically themselves feels the most attractive."
He then praised Gong Hyo-jin, saying, "In that sense, I really like someone like Hyo-jin noona. She’s incredibly natural—if she wants to grumble, she does, and if she feels like nagging, she does. But from the first time I met her, I noticed that her respect and consideration for others are always present. She remains true to herself without ever crossing the line or harming anyone, and that makes everyone around her feel comfortable."
Previously, Gong Hyo-jin had shared the story of how her younger husband, Kevin Oh, proposed to her, drawing envy from Lee Min-ho and the other cast members. She revealed, "These days, I’ve been actively looking for the perfect match for Min-ho." Her comment highlighted their close bond.
Lee Min-ho also shared, "I don’t usually talk on the phone with anyone for more than five minutes, but with Hyo-jin, we’ll talk for two hours at a time. She gives me all sorts of advice," showcasing their special connection. Gong Hyo-jin humorously added that women are better at judging other women and continued to promote her matchmaking efforts for Lee Min-ho.
When asked about his dating style, Lee Min-ho described himself as a "hopeless romantic," saying, "Once I fall for someone, that’s it—I’m all in. If I feel something for someone, I have to see it through to the end." His confession earned admiration for his sincere approach to relationships.
Meanwhile, Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin star in the upcoming tvN drama 'When The Stars Gossip,' which tells the story of Eve (Gong Hyo-jin), a boss working on a zero-gravity space station, and Gong Ryong (Lee Min-ho), an unwelcome visitor with a secret mission. The drama explores life beyond Earth, including the challenges and daily lives of astronauts living on a space station located 200,000 kilometers away. Touted as Korea's first-ever "space office drama," the series blends sci-fi and romance across 16 episodes.
