Minji, a member of the K-pop group NewJeans, has captured fans’ hearts with her touching post on social media.
On December 22(KST), Minji expressed her gratitude to fans through NewJeans’ new official social media account, saying, “Thank you always, Bunnies,” using the group’s affectionate nickname for their fanbase.
Earlier that day, Minji participated in a pre-recorded performance for MBC’s Gayo Daejejeon. Following the recording, she shared, “Today’s recording was long, and it must have been cold, but I’m so thankful to the Bunnies who stayed strong and cheered us on until the end.” She added, “The stages we share with Bunnies are always memorable, but today feels like one I’ll remember even longer.”
She continued to show her affection for fans, saying, “Thank you always, Bunnies. You’re all so adorable and kind.”
What caught the attention of many was a poignant message written in small, barely visible white letters on the venue’s roof: “I’ll cry later when I can do it with a peaceful heart.” This emotional note struck a chord with fans.
Last month, on November 28, NewJeans held an emergency press conference in Gangnam, Seoul, where they announced the termination of their exclusive contracts with HYBE and ADOR, declaring their intent to pursue independent activities. Since then, the group has been actively connecting with fans through their newly launched Instagram account, ‘jeanzforfree.’
