The rumors initially arose on December 10 when a netizen uploaded a photo of a man and woman on social media, sparking speculation about a relationship between Jungwon and Winter.
In response, Jungwon firmly stated, “I’m not dating anyone, and I don’t smoke either.” He added, “I don’t know how those who posted this plan to handle the consequences. I don’t date, and I don’t smoke. It’s ridiculous.” His strong denial left no room for doubt.
ENHYPEN’s agency, Belift Lab, also issued a statement on December 11, confirming that the rumors were false. The agency expressed concern over malicious rumors infringing on the artist’s privacy and announced plans to take strict action.
"Belift Lab will take all necessary legal measures to protect the artist's reputation," the agency emphasized.
Similarly, aespa’s agency, SM Entertainment, also denied the rumors on the same day. SM stated, “The individual who distributed the photo contacted a media outlet seeking monetary compensation. When the media outlet declined their proposal, they maliciously circulated the photo. We will be taking legal action against this matter.”
Both agencies are standing firm in their commitment to protect their artists, warning of strong legal consequences for those spreading false information.
