Currently, there is strong interest in the pilot operation at 'GS25 Ground Blue 49' in Insadong, South Korea. The self-serve fruit smoothies, which originated in Japan, are now making their way to Korean convenience stores. Made in just one minute, GS25 plans to install the smoothie machines across the nation next year.

High-quality ready-to-eat foods and desserts are staples in Japanese convenience stores, which have become a must-visit destination during trips to Japan. This year, Seven-Eleven's 'self-serve fruit smoothie' became hugely popular, and many Korean travelers shared their experiences with photos.

Now, this smoothie will soon be available in Korea as well. GS25 recently introduced the same self-serve smoothie machines at its 'Ground Blue 49' store in Insadong. Despite being in the trial operation phase, the smoothies are already selling about 40 cups a day, demonstrating their popularity. After purchasing a cup of frozen fruit, customers simply remove the plastic cover and place it into the machine to instantly create a smoothie, making it very convenient.

Currently, three varieties are available: Mango Smoothie, Strawberry Smoothie, and a mixed Strawberry, Blueberry, and Mango Smoothie. More flavors will be added in the future, and the price is set at 3,000 KRW, which is comparable to the cost at Japan's Seven-Eleven, making it an affordable treat.

GS25 plans to expand the self-serve smoothie option to all stores across the country after conducting trial operations at three of its company-owned stores. We can’t wait for it to arrive at convenience stores near us soon!
